MEADOW HOMES — Members of the SEWcial Distance Club recently sewed and donated 1,500 cloth masks to ESD 112 for its employees and others to use. The group was created in April by Barbara Rogers and Kristyn Morgan to help make and distribute face masks in the community. Since the group’s creation four months ago, more than 560 people have joined its group on Facebook and it has donated 30,000 masks to more than 100 local organizations. “This donation will go a long way in providing washable, reusable masks not only to our staff, but to the students and families we serve, as we work together as a community to combat COVID-19,” said Marnie Allen, assistant superintendent, human resources and legal services at ESD 112. “We are so appreciative of the generosity and thoughtfulness from the SEWcial Distance Club and its members.”
