Clark County Public Health this morning added 45 COVID-19 cases to the county’s total. The agency also updated patient age data for the first time since early July.
Clark County has had 1,991 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus since early March. Forty people have died; no new deaths have been reported since Friday.
On Monday, 107 cases of the disease were reported, followed by 61 Tuesday. Last week the county confirmed 146 new cases.
Public Health also released a breakdown of cases by age as of Monday. The largest cohort of cases in Clark County falls in the 30-39 age range, at 18.8 percent, followed closely by people in their 20s, at 18.7 percent. The smallest groups include people 80 and older, 4.1 percent; ages 70 to 79, 4.9 percent; and 0 to 9 years, 5.1 percent. The agency said it plans to update this data weekly going forward.
