Clark County hits 17 novel coronavirus deaths, 321 cases

Clark County Public Health confirmed eight new COVID-19 cases and one new death Thursday morning.

The county is up to 321 confirmed cases and 17 deaths. The newest death was a man who was 80 or older. Ten of the county’s deaths — the largest cohort — have been people 80 and older. Fifteen of the county’s deaths have been men.

At least 3,131 people in Clark County have been tested.

According to Public Health data, 18 people are hospitalized for the virus currently, and four people are in an intensive care unit.

There are 62 cases associated with long-term care facilities, a mixture of residents and staff. Thirty-five have been connected to assisted/independent living facilities; 14 are in adult family homes and 13 are in skilled nursing facilities.

Washington has 12,753 confirmed cases and 711 deaths, according to state Department of Health.

According to state Department of Health statistics, there were at least 544 patients hospitalized for COVID-19 in Washington as of Tuesday.

At least 151 patients were in an intensive care unit.
