The southbound span of the Interstate 5 Bridge will be closed to all traffic — including bicyclists and pedestrians — from 10 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday.
The northbound span will remain open. Southbound traffic on I-5 will be redirected to Interstate 205 and the Glenn Jackson Bridge via state Highway 14.
Crews will carry out bridge inspections on the southbound span during the closure, and perform work on the draw span and bridge lighting, according to a press release from the Oregon Department of Transportation.
The Interstate 5 Bridge is jointly owned by Oregon and Washington but is maintained and operated by ODOT.
