Woodland Public Schools selected Phillip Pearson as its new high school principal.

Pearson will replace John Shoup, who has been principal at the high school for 22 years.

Pearson is currently principal at Corbett High School in Oregon.

Due to concerns about the spread of the novel coronavirus, Pearson was interviewed through a combination of in-person meetings observing social distancing guidelines, as well as teleconferences.
