Restrooms at parks in unincorporated areas of Clark County have closed.
The parks themselves remain open, save for playgrounds and play structures, according to a county news release.
“We appreciate the support of the council and Public Health in continuing to prioritize the safety of the public and our Public Works staff,” Public Works Director Ahmad Qayoumi said in the news release. “We know these aren’t easy decisions to make, but we are thankful to the council for allowing us to implement these safety standards so we can keep parks open for the community.”
Park users are asked to follow social distancing protocols, including not using parks or trails when experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, warning other walkers of their presence before passing and maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet.
