Intel filled its long-vacant chief marketing officer post Monday with a top Cisco executive.
Karen Walker had been Cisco’s top marketer since 2015. Intel said she will run the company’s global marketing group and lead Intel’s brand strategy.
Walker will report to longtime a longtime Intel Oregon executive, Michelle Johnston Holthaus, whom the chipmaker promoted to executive vice president earlier this month. Holthaus now works at company headquarters in Silicon Valley.
Tech news site Wccftech reported Walker’s hiring last week.
Intel hasn’t had a chief marketing officer since May 2018, when the company reassigned Steve Fund.
