Prairie scored three touchdowns on its opening 11 plays Friday en route to a 38-6 nonleague football victory over Battle Ground at District Stadium.
The Falcons, now 4-0 for the first time in two-plus decades, open 3A Greater St. Helens League play next week hosting undefeated Kelso (3-0).
Quarterback AJ Dixson accounted for all first-quarter three scores — including a 55-yard touchdown strike to brother Zeke Dixson on the game’s second play — as Prairie took a 20-0 lead and led by as many as 38-0. AJ Dixson also had rushing touchdowns of 7 and 1 yards.
Prairie rushed for 280 team yards, led by Dixson (86 yards), Devante Clayton (73) and Dustin Shelby (54). Shelby also had multiple rushing touchdowns.
