Non-league football: King’s Way Christian 67, Riverside (Ore.) 0

King’s Way Christian celebrated a win over Riverside in its inaugural game at S.R. Preece Memorial Stadium.

The Knights displayed extremely convincing performances both offensively and defensively. A total of 342 yards were produced, granting them 10 different trips to the end zone.

Sophomore wide receiver Bryson Metz exploded in the first quarter as he scored three touchdowns — one of which was an 85 yard punt return.

Meanwhile his receiving counterpart, Ty Snider scored two touchdowns. Both of his scores came from offensive and defensive positions.

Senior quarterback Kemper Shrock had a perfect game, going 5-for-5 while throwing for 73 yards and a touchdown.

Mason Packer impressed as well, throwing for 68 yards and a touchdown, and completing 66 percent of his passes.

King’s Way will open the 1A Trico league campaign with a record of 2-2.
