Washington State Patrol troopers raided four suspected illegal marijuana grow operations in Clark County early Thursday morning.

WSP Sgt. Ryan Tanner said troopers, with assistance from Vancouver police officers, descended on four properties in and around Vancouver at 6 a.m.

One of the properties is in the 9000 block of Northeast Ward Road in the Orchards area. There are three buildings on the property, Tanner said.

Troopers will continue working through the day and into the evening to process evidence.

The raids are part of an investigation into illegal marijuana operations in the state, Tanner said. The sergeant was unaware of any arrests but noted that troopers were still investigating. Several people were detained during the raids.

The amount of marijuana at the properties is also currently unknown.

Eleven states have legalized recreational marijuana. Of those states, Washington doesn’t allow people to grow the plant at home.
