Camas — An oil painting titled “Through the Doorway at Steigerwald Refuge” will be auctioned during September at Second Story Gallery, upstairs in the Camas Public Library, 625 N.E. Fourth Ave. Cheryl Mathieson, a local artist, donated the painting, which is up for grabs in a silent auction. Bids will be accepted at the gallery through 1 p.m. Sept. 28, with all proceeds benefitting the gallery. The 16-by-24-inch canvas is framed in deep bronze and can be found on an easel in the gallery in front of work by 15 artists from the Northwest Oil Painters Guild. Their special, two-month exhibit, “Show Your Colors,” ends Sept. 28.
