Non-league football: Ridgefield 42, King’s Way Christian 14

Ridgefield held King’s Way Christian to just two first downs in the first half in a dominant performance on both sides of the ball, topping the Knights in a non-league game at Ridgefield Stadium.

Hunter Abrams rushed for 148 yards and had two touchdowns to lead the Spudders (1-1) in the win. Aidan Hundt added three catches for 101 yards and a touchdown and returned an interception for another Ridgefield score.

Bryson Metz had a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown for King’s Way (0-2), but the Knights struggled to put together long drives for most of the game.

Junior Bryce Dodge scored the Knights’ only offensive touchdown, hauling in a 9-yard score in the fourth quarter.
