Prep Highlights: Mountain View’s Moody shoots 6-under 28

Mountain View junior Graham Moody shot a 6-under-par 28 Thursday to break his own course record in a boys golf dual-match win over Skyview at Fairway Village.

Moody’s previous school course record was 4-under 30 on the par-34 course, set in 2017. That’s the same year when Graham won the Class 3A state title as a freshman.

In Thursday’s 147-159 win over the Storm, Moody birdied his first five holes, and finished with six on the nine-hole round.

• Cade Bringhurst, Ridgefield boys golf, shot an even-par 37 at Tri-Mountain in the Spudders’ league win over Columbia River.

• Haley Syfrett, Washougal slowpitch softball, went 3 for 4 with four runs and six RBI in a 18-7 win over Mountain View. The two teams combined for 35 hits.

• Eli Huntington and Caleb Shira, Camas boys golf, both shot even-par 36s at Camas Meadows to earn co-medialist honors in their win over Prairie.

• Tiffany Chandler, La Center volleyball, posted a match-high 14 kills and also had three digs, two aces and two assists in a sweep of Hudson’s Bay.

• Allie Andrew, Ridgefield volleyball, had eight kills, four blocks and four digs in the Spudders’ sweep of 4A Union.

• Alexis Sadler, Mountain View girls soccer, assisted three of the Thunder’s four goals in a 4-2 win over Battle Ground.

• Emma Villaluz, Camas volleyball, had double-digits in kills (10) and digs (11) in a sweep over reigning 3A GSHL champion Prairie.

• Avalon Watkins, Skyview volleyball, had 25 assists, 13 digs and three aces in a five-set loss at Olympia.

• Paige Jones, Ridgefield girls soccer, posted four saves in goal for a 2-0 shutout of Union.

• Sophia Carter, Prairie volleyball, had 10 kills, 11 digs and four blocks in a three-set loss to Camas.

• Naman Thawani, Union boys tennis, swept his opponent, 6-0, 6-0 at second singles in a 4-2 team win over Mountain View.

• Julia Cash, Columbia River girls soccer, had a goal and assisted another in a 5-0 shutout of Prairie.

• Gracie Dolan, Washougal volleyball, had a match-high 23 kills and 17 digs in the Panthers’ four-set win over Battle Ground.

• Kendall McGraw, Hockinson girls soccer, scored on a penalty kick and assisted another first-half goal in a 6-0 shutout of Kelso.

• Dana Snider, King’s Way Christian volleyball, had 19 assists, seven kills and five serving aces in a sweep of 1B Firm Foundation.

• Matt Rudi, Columbia River boys tennis, swept his opponent in straight sets at second singles in the Chieftains’ 4-2 win over Prairie. n Emma Swett, Woodland volleyball, had 23 kills, 10 digs and three blocks to help the Beavers rally for a five-set win over 2B Kalama.

• Jordan Gesser, Seton Catholic volleyball, posted a match-high 32 assists in a sweep of 1B Columbia Adventist.
