A lack of reported damage has prompted the National Weather Service in Portland to opt out of conducting a storm survey today after reports of a funnel cloud in north Vancouver circulated on social media Sunday night.
So far, there are no reports of major damage in Clark County. Light damage has been reported, meteorologist Shawn Weagle told The Columbian.
A tornado warning was issued around 8 p.m. Sunday for the Orchard and Walnut Grove areas and was in effect for about 15 minutes..
Briana Phillips, with the weather service, said officials were coordinating where to send surveyors Monday morning, as there have also been reports of damage in the Old Cornelius Road area west of Portland. Winds there damaged a pumpkin patch and corn maze, according to media reports.
