The Skyview volleyball team avenged its only loss of the 4A Greater St. Helens League season, knocking off Camas in five sets on Thursday and pulling into a first-place tie.
Skyview (11-3, 6-1) concludes the regular season against third-place Union on Tuesday. Camas (11-2, 6-1) faces last-place Battle Ground.
After dropping the first two sets 25-23 and 25-10, Skyview rebounded by winning the next two 25-13 and 25-19. The fifth-set tiebreaker was tight, with Skyview prevailing 17-15.
Lia Hawken had 16 kills, 13 kills and eight blocks for Skyview. Emma Villaluz had 13 kills and 12 digs for Camas.
Washougal girls soccer win district play-in
Kailee Neyer and Aurora Espizona scored to lift the Washougal girls soccer team to a 2-0 win over Aberdeen and into the 2A district tournament.
The Panthers (11-6) dominated possession to win the district play-in game on the road.
Washougal, which finished fifth in the 2A Greater St. Helens League, will open district play on Saturday at top-seeded Columbia River.

• Payten Foster, Woodland volleyball, had five aces in a 3-0 win over Hockinson as the Beavers head to districts as the No. 3 seed from the 2A GSHL.
• Sophia Carter, Prairie volleyball, had 14 kills to lead the Falcons to a sweep of Hudson’s Bay.
• Belen Kingsella, King’s Way Christian volleyball, was 17 for 17 serving with three aces and had six digs in a 3-0 win over Seton Catholic. The Knights finish undefeated in Trico League play.
• Samantha Spritzer, La Center girls soccer, scored the game’s only goal in the second half as the Wildcats finish Trico League play 10-0.
• Katie Leslie, La Center volleyball, recorded her 1,000th career dig in the 3-0 loss to Castle Rock.
• Katie Peneueta, Heritage volleyball, had 14 kills, 5 blocks and 11 digs as the Timberwolves beat Battle Ground 3-0.
