Diane L. Dewbrey was appointed to the board of directors at Barrett Business Services, a business management consulting firm based in Vancouver. Previously she was the director of MBIA in Purchase, N.Y., and director and chair at Enventis Corp. She has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Xavier University. Kwesi Booker was hired by the Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families as its assistant secretary of child welfare field operations, starting Dec. 1. He has more than 20 years of experience in the field, beginning in 1998 as a home case manager in New York City. Most recently, he was the county director in the state of Georgia. Booker has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in public administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. New owner

Ale Yemane-Berhane recently took over ownership of Cartridge World, 2100 S.E. 164th Ave., Suite D104, Vancouver. He purchased the business on Sept. 30 from its previous owner, Richard “Rick” Jarvis, who retired, Yemane-Berhane said.
