SEATTLE — Alaska Air Group Inc. (ALK) on Thursday reported third-quarter earnings of $322 million.
The Seattle-based company said it had net income of $2.60 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $2.63 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.62 per share.
The airline posted revenue of $2.39 billion in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.38 billion.
Alaska Air shares have increased 13 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $68.69, a rise of 12 percent in the last 12 months.
