Expect delays on Highway 14 for roundabout wrap-up

WASHOUGAL — Nighttime drivers on state Highway 14 should plan for delays or use alternate routes this week during final construction on two roundabouts.

Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will reduce all lanes of the highway down to a single lane near 15th Street/Washougal River Road and 32nd Street.

Flaggers will alternate traffic through the single open lane, from 6 p.m. Thursday through 7 a.m. Friday and from 6 p.m. Friday through 7 a.m. Saturday, for final striping work.

Drivers can expect delays of up to 20 minutes during construction. Access to all side streets will remain open.

Final striping is extremely weather dependent and will be postponed in the event of rain.
