Vancouver man accused in Oregon of attempted rape

A Vancouver man is accused of attempting to rape a woman Monday in Springfield, Ore.

Anthony Alan Wayne Miller, 30, was charged in Lane County Circuit Court with attempted rape, first-degree burglary, menacing and interfering with making a report. He was arrested Monday and booked at the Lane County Jail. He has not been released, according to jail records.

Miller allegedly forced his way into a woman’s hotel room at the Motel 6 on International Way while her children were present, according to The Register-Guard. His arrest came after a standoff with the Springfield Police Department.
