UPDATE: Jung C. VanAtta has been found. Her condition is stable.

Search and rescue teams resumed their search Monday morning for a 74-year-old Vancouver woman who went missing while mushroom picking in Skamania County.

Jung C. VanAtta was last seen at about 10 a.m. Saturday on land near 572 Beacon Highlands Road, about 15 miles northwest of Stevenson, according to a press release from the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office.

She had been picking mushrooms with Donald E. Bergseng, 87, of Vancouver and had reportedly decided to go pick more mushrooms with plans to return within the hour.

Friends and family searched for VanAtta, who had never picked in the area and was unfamiliar with the property, and alerted authorities Saturday afternoon.

Search and rescue personnel combed the area until 2:45 a.m. Sunday with no results, according to the sheriff’s office.

The search continued Sunday with several ground teams, dog teams, three aerial drones, and a contracted helicopter from JL Aviation, according to the sheriff’s office. A Reverse 911 alert was also initiated to alert home owners in the area.
