A candlelight vigil to honor the life of a boy who died in a bicycle crash will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in east Vancouver.

The vigil will be at the intersection of Northeast Ninth Street and Northeast 167th Avenue, where Damien T. Vandecasteele, also known as Damien Trick, died Thursday morning after he rode his bike into the path of a pickup truck.

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the crash, but the driver, who remained at the scene and cooperated with deputies, has not been accused of wrongdoing.
