The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a freezing warning for Clark County and beyond set to take effect at midnight tonight.
The warning will remain in place until 8 a.m. Thursday.
County communities likely to shiver with the dip in temperature include Vancouver, Battle Ground, Ridgefield, Washougal, Yacolt and Amboy, according to the weather service.
Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 degrees are expected, forecasters say.
“Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops (and) other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” the warning says.
