Portland International Airport has been named as the highest-ranked large airport in the 2019 North American Airport Satisfaction Study from consumer insight company J.D. Power.
The study is based on responses from 32,276 North American airport travelers. It divides airports into three size categories: mega, large and medium. PDX is ranked as a large airport, defined as an airport with more than 10 million but fewer than 33 million passengers per year.
Respondents were polled about terminal facilities, accessibility, baggage claim, security check, check-in process and food and retail offerings. The responses were used to calculate each airport’s score on a 1,000-point scale; PDX scored 833.
PDX was ranked first in the J.D. Power study in 2015 and 2016, fifth in 2017 and third in 2018.
