Local bunco group celebrates 50th anniversary

Fisher’s Landing East — It was a celebratory afternoon on Sept. 5 at Gustav’s Restaurant in Vancouver, when a group of local residents gathered to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their bunco group. The gathering was attended by 23 local members and their substitutes. The group was started 50 years ago by 12 women; five of them are still living and participate in the regular get-togethers. The group plans on continuing to meet and play for years to come.
