Letter: Reject Camas pool proposal

By Cindy Martin, Camas
Published: October 3, 2019, 6:00am

I agree with Tim Hein’s letter (“Camas pool not essential,” Our Readers’ Views, Sept. 25) that the proposed $78 million community center will place an unnecessary tax burden on Camas residents. I would rather see a Clark County outdoor waterpark for general public use open three months of the year. There are plenty of indoor gyms and community centers already available in this area. Let’s be fair to those residents who are already struggling to live in Camas and vote “No” on the proposed community center.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
