Mountain View, Kelso rise in the 3A rankings in latest AP state football polls

Mountain View and Kelso, last week tied at No. 10 in the Class 3A rankings, both moved up for a tie for No. 6 in the Oct. 2 rankings of the Associated Press high school football state media poll.

Mountain View (3-1) and Kelso (4-0) are tied with Bellevue (2-2) at No. 6.

Camas (4-0) held at No. 4 in the 4A rankings, although the Papermakers did receive one of the 11 first-place votes cast this week. Union (3-1) moved up three spots to No. 7.

In Class 2A, Lynden’s win over Archbishop Murphy moved the Lions up to No. 2, which caused Hockinson (3-1) to drop to No. 4.

In Class 1A, La Center (4-0) moved up one spot to No. 8.
