The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce will recognize two volunteers from the organization’s Ambassador Team, for supporting the chamber in the community. The Ambassador of the Year award will be granted to Yvonne Payne, professional pianist and teacher for more than 30 years and owner of Ebony Notes. The Rookie of the Year award will go to Mary Sprecher, executive director of Rocksolid Community Teen Center.

Payne has been a chamber member for almost two decades and a chamber ambassador since 2016. A chamber announcement said that throughout her service to the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, she has been a reliable volunteer who goes above what is asked of her during events and activities.

Since joining the “North County” Ambassador Team, Sprecher has led the way encouraging engagement for members and future members in Battle Ground. A chamber announcement said Sprecher is passionate about serving the community and working directly with youth.

Payne and Sprecher will be recognized at the Holiday Heroes Luncheon on Dec. 6, during which the Chamber’s Nonprofit of the Year, Office Moms & Dads, will be accepting donations of new children’s clothing and sensory development toys.
