Clark County has announced that it will make cannabis facility applications available beginning Dec. 2. Packets can be obtained from the county office of Community Development at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver. More information on the permitting process and submittal requirements can be found at the permit office or online at clark.wa.gov/community-development.
Cannabis facilities must obtain land use approval and building permits from the county in addition to licenses from the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board.
Cannabis businesses are permitted in the cities of Vancouver and Battle Ground, but they’ve been banned in the unincorporated parts of Clark County since 2014. The county council voted in July to lift the moratorium, allowing cannabis shops and other facilities to operate in the unincorporated county beginning Jan. 1.
