CENTRAL PARK — Clark College Foundation recently received a $20,000 grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation to support Clark College’s student veterans. Funding will provide textbooks, on-campus dental services, career assessments, emergency grant funds and certification exam fees for students through Clark’s Veterans Resource Center. “Bank of America is proud to support the Veterans Resource Center,” David Reiter, senior vice president of Bank of America, said in a news release. “Creating a safe and supportive environment for veterans at Clark College is critical for their success. It is an honor for Bank of America to give back to those who have given so much for their country.” The grant counts toward a fundraising goal of $2 million for the resource center, which helps veterans obtain education and workforce training to succeed in the workplace and transition to civilian life. Clark College Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization that assists the college through philanthropy.
