Medical examiner: Woman struck on Highway 14 died by suicide

A woman who was killed Nov. 9 when she was struck by a tractor-trailer on state Highway 14 near Lieser Road died by suicide, according to the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The medical examiner said in a media release Wednesday that the 40-year-old Vancouver woman’s death was caused by blunt force injuries due to the impact of the truck. The woman intentionally stepped into the road, the media release says.

Washington State Patrol responded to the fatal crash around 1:45 a.m.
