Donna King was hired to PeaceHealth’s board of directors. King is a registered nurse and nursing executive, most recently serving as vice president of clinical operations and chief nurse executive at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Ill. She has bachelor’s degrees in nursing and psychology from Elmhurst College and a master’s degree from Benedictine University.
Alkesh Patel joined Clark College Foundation’s board of directors. Patel is the chairman and CEO of Evergreen hospitality, a development group that builds hotels such as Hilton, Marriott, IHG and Hyatt. In 2012 and 2013, he was the chairman of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association, an association of hotel owners with 16,000 members.
