Molina Healthcare of Washington has donated medical office equipment and supplies to the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington.

Molina’s donation includes office, waiting room and exam room chairs, medical stools, and exam tables. The Free Clinic is a nonprofit organization that provides complimentary health services to underinsured and uninsured people in the Vancouver area, according to a Molina press release.

“We’re pleased to support the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington by donating needed medical equipment so that more people can be comfortably served and assisted,” said Peter Adler, president of Molina Healthcare of Washington.

In September, Molina Healthcare recognized Dr. Remigius Eussen, a retired pediatric dentist, with a 2019 Community Champions Awards. Eussen practiced in Vancouver for 17 years, according to the press release. He received a $3,000 grant from Molina as part of the award and donated the funds to the Free Clinic. Ann Wheelock, executive director of the Free Clinic, said the $3,000 will be used to fund clinic visits for patients and buy “much-needed” medications.

“We are very appreciative of the support we receive from Molina Healthcare,” Wheelock said. “It would not have been possible to replace our aging equipment without this generous gift from Molina.”
