Petty Officer Third Class Kash Kelly, a 2007 graduate of La Center High School and a resident of Woodland, serves in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Kelly is a Navy construction mechanic responsible for the lookout and manning of station on a 34-foot patrol boat. In addition to serving in the Navy Reserve, Kelly has worked at his civilian job for two years. He balances his civilian life with part-time Navy service by relying on his support system, such as his wife and kids. In a recent press release, Kelly expressed that he was proud of graduating boot camp and maintaining the strict discipline required.
