Battle Ground — The Battle Ground Education Foundation received a $10,000 grant from the Honorable Frank L. and Arlene G. Price Foundation to help high-school students who are at risk of not graduating because they need to work to cover living expenses. The grant will kick-start the district’s Earn and Learn Program, which supports student workers by engaging them in high school and connecting them to local employers who understand their situation and can provide work-based learning opportunities and flexibility. The program will be built into Battle Ground’s Family and Community Resource Center.
