Union quarterback Caleb “CJ” Jordan verbally committed to play football for the University of Idaho, he announced via Twitter Wednesday night. Football’s early signing period opens Dec. 18.

Jordan, listed at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, transferred to Union from Clackamas for his senior season, and led the Titans to a 5-3 record before a torn meniscus ended his season in a Week 8 win over Battle Ground. He also missed Week 4’s 21-20 victory over Chiawana with a concussion.

He was 68 of 126 for 1,084 yards passing and eight touchdowns. He also ran for 319 yards on 50 carries and four touchdowns. The Titans play Mount Rainier on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Highline Stadium in Burien for a Week 10 playoff game.

“It all started in fourth grade with the vision board I created,” Jordan tweeted. “My No. 1 goal … playing Division I football as a quarterback.”

Idaho plays in the Big Sky Conference. The Vandals are currently 4-5. Five quarterbacks are currently listed on the roster, including one senior and four freshmen.
