Nominees for Week 9 prep football player of the week

Voting continues through Tuesday night

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

Nominations are limited to one per sport, one per school, each week.

Winners of athlete of the week may not be nominated again until the postseason. Players may not be nominated on consecutive weeks.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

  • LEVI CRUM, HOCKINSON: Crum passed for 371 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns in the a win over Ridgefield.
  • BRYSON METZ, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN: Metz caught seven passes for 211 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Seton Catholic.
  • BRYTEN SCHMITZ, LA CENTER: Schmitz rushed for 216 yards and one touchdown in a win over Castle Rock.
  • DUSTIN SHELBY, PRAIRIE: Shelby rushed for 141 yards and one TD and returned a fumble for a score in a win over Evergreen.
  • ROBERT SILVA, CAMAS: Silva led the Papermaker defense with several tackles, including three for a loss and a sack, in a win over Union.
