BRUSH PRAIRIE — The Hockinson school board invites the community to a farewell celebration for outgoing Superintendent Sandra Yager, who is stepping down after this current school year. She announced her decision in November, and starting this summer, she will take over as superintendent at Cornerstone Christian Academy in Vancouver.

Yager has been in Hockinson for the last 17 years, serving as superintendent and Hockinson High School principal. In March, the school board voted to hire Steve Marshall, who is currently the director of educational resources for the Camas School District, as Hockinson’s next superintendent.

The celebration will run from 6 to 7 p.m. June 10 in the Hockinson High School library, 16819 N.E. 159th St., Brush Prairie.
