Big Al’s, the Vancouver-based entertainment company that opened its first complex near Southeast 164th Avenue in 2006, has opened its fifth venue, in Milpitas, Calif.

The Silicon Valley location east of San Jose opened May 6, reported The Milpitas Beat. The other Big Al’s locations are in Beaverton, Ore.; Meridian, Idaho; and Ontario, Calif.

The Milpitas location features the same combination of giant-screen televisions, food, games and bowling that’s found in the original location.

Al Kirkwood started Big Al’s bowling centers after retiring as executive vice president of Kiewit. The Community Foundation for Southwest Washington named Al and Sandee Kirkwood the 2018 Philanthropists of the Year.
