Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of a potentially fatal car crash north of Battle Ground.

Multiple agencies responded about 3:52 p.m. to Northeast Lewisville Highway, state Highway 503, and Potter Road for the report of a crash.

It was unclear over emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian how many vehicles were involved in the crash, but a responder told dispatchers the incident was a “possible fatal” before he requested medics and a LifeFlight helicopter to the scene.

Deputies said to shut down the northbound lanes of Highway 503, according to the scanner traffic.

A spokesperson with Washington State Patrol did not return a request for more information by Sunday evening.
