Krog takes state title in 1A boys triple jump

Stevenson’s Lincoln Krog won the 1A boys triple jump to lead local athletes Friday at the 1A/2B/1B state track and field meet in Cheney.

Krog won the event with a leap of 45 feet, 2.75 inches.

Seton Catholic’s Elijah Volk finished fourth in the 1A boys pole vault by clearing 12-6.

Also in the 1A boys meet, Columbia-White Salmon’s Stanley Hylton placed fifth in the javelin at 163-3, and Stevenson’ Garret Bernt was eighth in the discus (135-5).
