Holland Partner Group of Vancouver has broken ground on the construction of 324 apartments in the largest mixed-use master-planned community in Oregon — Reed’s Crossing by Newland in Hillsboro, officials said Wednesday.
The Holland part of the massive South Hillsboro project will consist of 14 garden-style residential buildings containing a mix of one- to four-bedroom floor plans. The firm will also build a clubhouse with community amenities, including a pool, lounge and both indoor and outdoor kitchens.
“Holland Partner Group is excited about the impact the Reed’s Crossing Community will have on South Hillsboro and the city’s housing shortage,” Brenner Daniels, Holland’s managing director in the Oregon and Southwest Washington regions, said in a news release. “We’re dedicated to providing diverse housing options that are sustainably built and provide access to open space and community amenities. Future residents will experience a truly dynamic environment where they can live, work, and play within the master-planned community.”
The South Hillsboro project — 1,400 acres of open space, farmland and developed property — is expected to transform that area of the Washington County city. Once the historic Ladd-Reed farm, South Hillsboro will include three unique districts: Reed’s Crossing, Butternut Creek and Vendage.
