Portland — Apple will reopen its downtown Portland store on May 31, a little more than two months after it closed for a substantial remodel.

The store has been closed since March 24. In the intervening weeks Apple has installed a video wall and other new features meant to highlight educational services the company offers at its stores.

Apple had been vague about how long the Portland store would be closed, but similar overhauls are taking place at the company’s retail locations across the country, typically lasting for several weeks.

Apple’s glass-fronted downtown store is the biggest of three the company operates in the Portland area. The others are at the Washington Square and Bridgeport Village malls.
