Alexandra Watson was hired by local real estate digital marketing agency GTMA as a digital marketing director. Watson has almost 25 years of business and marketing experience, and also penned the book “Strategic Digital Marketing Survival Manual: A Practical Field Guide for Small Businesses and Startups.” She previously worked in California and Texas, and was an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University. Alisa Van Sickle, a registered nurse, was appointed to the board for the Home Care Association of Washington. Board members are elected from HCAW member agencies across Washington. As a member, she will represent the health care industry from a statewide perspective. Van Sickle has been employed by Community Home Health & Hospice for 15 years and oversees more than 100 staff members.

CytoDyn Inc. recently hired two people in leadership roles. Brendan Rae is the senior vice president of business development, while George Bitar is the executive director and head of quality at the company, which specializes in developing treatments for HIV. Rae previously was the chief business officer at Serina Therapeutics; executive director at NPS Pharmaceuticals; and several other senior roles at VIA Pharmaceuticals, Purdue Pharma and Hoffman-LaRoche. Prior to those jobs, he was an attorney that specialized in biopharmaceutical intellectual property law. Bitar will focus on compliance and quality of products to Food and Drug Administration standards.
