The Skyview and Battle Ground softball teams had already booked the spots to the 4A state tournament.

Both were seeking one more trophy to take with them to Spokane next week.

The 4A Greater St. Helens League rivals found themselves in the championship game of the 4A bi-district tournament at Kent Service Club Ballfields in Kent on Sunday.

Skyview broke out the big sticks for the final and rolled to a 17-5 victory in the rain-delayed tournament.

Skylar Groesbeck hit a three-run home run in the first inning, and Mikelle Anthony hit a home run in the second for a 5-0 lead.

Later, Addi MacPherson hit a bases-loaded double to put Skyview in front 13-0.

To reach the final, Skyview beat Sumner 10-0 and Battle Ground beat Tahoma 6-5 in semifinals earlier Sunday.

Battle Ground (18-6) beat Skyview in two of the three league meetings this season en route to winning the regular-season league title.

Skyview (16-6) heads to Spokane’s Merkel Sports Complex on Friday with a five-game winning streak and some big run productions.

In their four bi-district games, the Storm outscored their opponents 53-18.

Camas will also be headed to Spokane on a roll.

The Papermakers, who beat Kentridge 10-0 on Tuesday in play-in game win just to make the main draw, won three games on Sunday to clinch the state berth and will be the No. 6 seed from the bi-district tournament.

Camas (16-10) stayed alive with a 10-0 win over Kentwood on Sunday, then beat Auburn Riverside 12-1 for the state berth. Puyallup beat the Papermakers 13-2 in the fifth-place seeding game.
