Clark County Fair Association gives scholarships

RIDGEFIELD — The Clark County Fair Association awarded scholarships to 20 students attending various universities and colleges. The association hands out the scholarships annually to college-bound students and over the years, has awarded more than $500,000. The money is reserved for students who have been involved with 4-H, Future Farmers of America, or Open Class during previous Clark County Fairs. James and Grace Coder, of Battle Ground and graduates of Coder Christian Academy, attending Clark College.

Jamie Evers, of Klamath Falls, Ore., and a graduate of Banks High School, attending Oregon Institute of Technology, Klamath Falls, Ore.

Evan Hefflin, of Vancouver and a graduate of CAM Academy, attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Fla.

Marisa Hermance, of Battle Ground and a graduate of Battle Ground High School, attending Clark College.
