Four Clark College baseball players received South Region honors as announced by the Northwest Athletic Conference on Friday.
Freshman Chad Stoner, a Camas High grad was named first team pitcher.
Stoner was 5-1 with a 4.17 ERA. He had 29 strikeouts in 54 innings pitched.
Named second team were infielder Kai Perreira, a freshman from Honolulu, and outfielder Jeremy Martin, a freshman from Ridgefield.
Perreira led the Penguins with a .353 batting average. Martin was second with a .348 average.
Gold Glove award went to freshman pitcher Alan Becklehimer, a Heritage High grad.
SOFTBALL — Clark’s Mary Schorn was named first-team South Region outfielder. The sophomore from Banks, Ore., led the Penguins with a .550 batting average, 66 hits, 11 home runs, 15 doubles and 23 stolen bases.
Second team honors went to infielder Chloe Blehm and outfielder Mackenzie Davis.
Blehm, a sophomore and graduate of Prairie, hit .349 with eight home runs. Davis, a freshman from Banks, Ore., was second on the team with a .393 batting average.
