Camas — When an elderly neighbor was threatened with a $350 a day fine for not having her yard in order, a group of volunteers sprung into action. The group from Acts Church in Camas visited the woman’s home and spent a day cleaning up her yard. They had 54 volunteers show up to clean, led by Todd Roy with Acts Church, which currently meets at Shahala Middle School. The church recently merged with Living Word Fellowship, 5621 N.E. 78th St., Vancouver, and will renovate the building and move in within the next few months. The church is looking for similar opportunities to help out in the community. For more information, visit www.actscamas.org.
