Sanford Jones, formerly of Camas and currently residing in Arizona, was welcomed as the newest member of the Clark College Foundation board. Jones and his wife, Carol Ewing, created a charitable remainder trust to be funded over time from the sale of their real estate. This trust will empower others through educational opportunities.

Jones worked for NASA, where he oversaw the construction of an orbiter for the spacecraft Galileo in the 1980s. He and his wife founded the Wine and Food Society of Clark County in 2006, a nonprofit promoting wine and cuisine education in the region.

Sarah Faulkner, of the 2008 graduating class at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics and a doctoral candidate in English at the University of Washington, was named one of the Husky 100. This honor recognizes Faulkner’s extraordinary contributions to the University of Washington community by encouraging connection to and through literature.
