Parks and recreation group seeks applicants

The city of Vancouver is looking for people to fill two vacancies on its Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission.

The 10-member volunteer commission advises the city council and staff on plans and programs related to the city’s parks, open spaces and recreation services. The group meets 3 to 5 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month, as well as occasional special meetings.

To qualify, applicants must live within Vancouver city limits.

Applications are due to the city manager’s office by 5 p.m. June 7. They can be mailed to City Hall, P.O. Box 1995, Vancouver, WA 98668-1995. Digital applications can be submitted online at cityofvancouver.us/boards.
