Vancouver-based Riverview Bancorp Inc., the parent company of Riverview Community Bank, appointed Patricia W. Eby to the company’s board of directors. Eby, a Walla Walla College and Lewis and Clark College School of Law graduate, is the former president and sole shareholder of the certified public accounting firm Peterson & Associates P.S. There are 18 branches of Riverview Community Bank, including 14 in the Portland-Vancouver area.
Jeff Kraayeveld, an athletic trainer at with Rebound Orthopedics and Neurosurgery, was named a regional nominee for the Newell National Athletic Trainer of the Year Award. The national award recognizes athletic trainers for their service and leadership in communities. Kraayeveld helps with injury coverage at Skyview High School, primarily focusing on rehabilitation of acute and chronic injuries and postsurgical patients. His main interests are baseball injuries, throwing mechanics and analysis. Kraayeveld received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with emphasis on athletic training from Washington State University Pullman. He completed an internship with the Seattle Seahawks from 1999 to 2001 and also worked for the Portland Lumberjax lacrosse team. The winner of the award, which will be announced later this month, can receive $2,500 for their school and $10,000 as the recipient.
Walla Walla-based Banner Bank hired Brandon Sanders as a business banker serving Vancouver and Portland. The company, which has more than 200 locations along the West Coast and Idaho, also awarded several employees with Clark County ties with a Banner’s Best internal company award. They include Angie Bannister, a senior personal banker at the Salmon Creek branch; Matt Schiefer, a mortgage loan officer based at the 500 N.E. 139th St. branch location in Vancouver; Dave Herbison, a digital banking strategy director with the company but who lives in Clark County; and Sam Othus, a commercial relationship manager, and Greg Usselman, a commercial banking center manager, both who “have a wide swath of business across Clark County.”
